Usquaebach" (Oos: Ke: Bah) was gotten from the antiquated Gaelic phrase, "uisge beatha" which means water of life, from which "whisky" is inferred. Usquaebach, once held just for sovereignty, privileged people, and notables, was initially presented in the United States at the 1969 presidential initiation. The cause of Usquaebach follows back to the mid sixteenth century, amid the rule of Mary Queen of Scots. Robert Burns deified it in his sonnet, Tam O'Shanter, with the line "Wi Usquaebae, we'll confront the de'il (demon)".
