The champ is here! One look and you may already know it’s Veuve Clicquot Brut Champagne. This French champagne hails from Reims and is a blend of Chardonnay, Meunier, and Pinot Noir. The latter making up the most and giving it its structure.
Veuve Clicquot has been around for ages, specifically in the late 18th century. This Brut Champagne is also called their yellow label, which is known for its strength, aromatic richness, freshness, and silkiness. Its aging potential is between 3 and 5 years.
The Brut itself has a golden yellow color as well as a fine, persistent effervescence. Its chosen blend gives it characteristically pear, peach, and pastry notes with a touch of dried fruit. Its pear, apple, and white peach aroma also tickles the nostrils.
Veuve Clicquot recommends serving this at an ideal temp of 8 to 10°C. Recommended pairings would be fresh salads and even grilled meals, think perfectly charred burgers and a shrimp salad. These complement the freshness of the champagne.
Veuve Clicquot Brut Champagne may not be a vintage, but it does consist of up to 45% of their reserve wines. This bottle can give you a taste of luxury, with a more affordable price tag.
Cheers.
