Dewar’s White Label is a blended Scotch Whiskey that comes in a standard 750ml bottle and contains 40% alcohol by volume (ABV). It is renowned for its smooth taste and versatility, making it perfect for sipping neat, on the rocks or in classic Whiskey cocktails. This whisky is crafted by blending up to 40 different single malt and grain whiskies, which are then put through a special “double ageing” process.
In this process, the Whiskey is returned to oak casks after blending, giving it an even smoother and more balanced character. Dewar’s White Label was first created in 1899 by A.J. Cameron, the brand’s first Master Blender, and its blend is strongly influenced by the single malt from Aberfeldy Distillery, which is at the heart of Dewar’s. The Whiskey is produced by John Dewar & Sons, a company founded in 1846 in Perth, Scotland, and is now owned by Bacardi Limited.
Dewar’s has earned the title of the world’s most awarded blended Scotch Whiskey, with over 1,000 international awards, and it remains the signature and most famous whiskey in the Dewar’s Classic Collection. Historically, it has been one of the best-selling Scotch whiskies in the United States thanks to its consistent quality, approachable flavor and timeless appeal.
