What is Reposado Tequila?

Reposado, meaning "rested" is tequila which has been aged for a minimum of two months and up to one year in oak barrels following its distillation. Typically, reposado has a light yellow, straw-like color imparted from the oak. It usually has a bit more depth, with more spicy and herbal notes in tandem with the other flavors. The natural cooked agave, citrus, and vanilla flavors from the initial creation pairs well with the toasted oak flavor from the barrels it rests in.
