Triple Dog Irish Whiskey (750Ml)

Description

Triple Dog Irish Whiskey got its name from a dare. A group of whiskey makers in a Dublin pub argued over how to make Irish whiskey feel new. Someone threw down the Triple Dog Dare, and they took it.

It is made at the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, County Louth. A blend of malted and unmalted Irish grains is triple distilled in copper pot and column stills. It then rests in French oak, which is unusual for Irish whiskey. It is bottled at 40%.

Lean in and you smell sweet toasted caramel and vanilla. The first sip tastes like the top of a crème brûlée. Cracked vanilla bean, honey and baked green apple follow. Dark baking spice shows up near the end, and the finish stays smooth.

Judges like it too. It holds two Double Gold medals from the SIP Awards and Gold from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It also won two Golds at the John Barleycorn Awards.

Sip it neat, over ice or in an Irish Coffee. If you like your whiskey smooth, sweet and a little bit rebellious, take the dare.
