Maxime Trijol is an independent, family-run Cognac house that has crafted fine spirits since 1859, and its roots in Grande Champagne give it a natural edge. This region is the top Premier Cru in Cognac and is known for producing some of the highest-quality eaux-de-vie. The expression often called “Elegance” is their approachable, entry-level Cognac, usually compared to a V.S. because it is made from eaux-de-vie aged for at least two years in French oak. Some older spirits are added to the blend to bring extra depth and character, which makes it stand out among other young Cognacs.
Made mainly from Ugni Blanc grapes, the Cognac carries bright acidity that supports a clean and refined profile. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a standard 750 ml size, with a 70 cl option also available. The spirit shows a golden yellow color, a delicate floral and fruity aroma, and a gentle touch of oak spice. Its taste is balanced with notes of nutmeg, orange, and caramel, followed by a smooth, warm finish.
Maxime Trijol controls every step of production and operates one of the largest distilling setups in the region, which ensures remarkable consistency. Enjoy it neat at 20°C to 25°C or use it to elevate classic cocktails such as a French 75. The “Elegance” has also earned recognition, including a Gold medal at the New York International Spirits Competition.
