Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is sourced from steep hillsides and windswept foothills of the Sonoma Coast, specifically a small selection of family-owned vineyards on the Sonoma Coast as well as their Camp Meeting Ridge estate. The dramatic landscape gives way to a diverse profile reflected in this Flowers Chardonnay. The long, cool growing season produces a layered chardonnay with bright fruit focus, complex minerality and crystalline acidity. Prior to bottling, Flowers Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2017 is aged in 100% French Oak for 11 months, then further aged for three months in stainless steel tanks. With a crisp bouquet of pear, citrus, and spice which leads into the palate, this medium-bodied chardonnay has a balanced finish with a light acidity. For pairing, the team here at CWS suggests a flaky halibut or pan-seared salmon.
