El Cientelleo Tequila Reposado is an ultra-premium aged tequila produced at NOM 1579. It's made from 100% mature Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco highlands — slow-cooked in brick hornos, naturally fermented in open-air tanks, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. After distillation, the spirit rests in oak barrels until it reaches the depth and balance that defines this expression. Throughout, the agave remains the primary voice.
The nose is warm and layered: cooked agave, dried fig, vanilla, and toasted oak with a thread of cinnamon. On the palate, caramel and warm baking spice build over a full, rounded body. The oak has introduced warmth and depth — but it hasn't become the dominant note. That balance is the standard a serious Reposado is measured against. The texture is silky and substantial. The finish is long, with soft oak and honeyed agave that resolves cleanly without bitterness.
For the buyer evaluating against other Reposados: this is not a spirit where the barrel has overwritten the agave.
