Don Fulano tequila comes from five generations of agave farmers and distillers. Over 140 years ago, in the town of Atotonilco in the Highlands of Jalisco, the Fonseca family became well known for their agave agriculture, even supplying the top tequila makers. It was only in the 1970s did the descendants consider creating a distillery of their own and after facing agave shortages, they established their own in the mid 1980s, known as La Tequileña Distillery. Don Fulano had learned from his travels throughout Europe, of the different methods and deep care put into spirit making all throughout the continent.
He imbued his knowledge into his tequila-making and love for natural simplicity. Each tequila starts with just three ingredients; Handpicked agave, proprietary yeast and unfiltered natural volcanic water.
Don Fulano Blanco is a bright and lively expression reflecting the beautiful Jalisco Highlands. Aged for a minimum of 6 months in a stainless steel pot, the aroma is filled with notes of minerality, grilled pepper and white pepper. The palate is rich with grilled fruit flavor such as pineapple, apple, and cooked agave. The tequila finishes, coating the mouth and leaving lingering butterscotch flavor. This tequila is excellent as an aperitif or mixed into any tequila-based cocktails such as a highball, paloma or a classic margarita on the rocks.
