Description

This Courvoisier Cognac is a special type of brandy made in the Cognac region of France, specifically in Jarnac, and is produced by Courvoisier, one of the famous “big four” Cognac houses. It is VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), which means the youngest spirit in the blend has been aged for at least four years in fine French oak barrels, often sourced from the Tronçais forest.

Coming in a 750ml bottle with 40% ABV (80 proof), it is crafted from a blend of grape spirits from top regions including Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois. This Cognac has a rich, inviting aroma with hints of vanilla, caramel, gingerbread, and floral notes like jasmine, while the taste is complex, featuring flavors of ripe peach, toasted almond, vanilla, honey, and a touch of oak. Smooth and refined with a long, warm finish, it follows Courvoisier’s signature “Cognac in Blossom” style, which emphasizes delicate floral flavors.

It is perfect for drinking neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails such as a Sidecar, and it pairs beautifully with creamy cheeses, dark chocolate, or savory dishes like roasted duck. Courvoisier also carries a historic connection to Napoleon, earning it the nickname “The Cognac of Napoleon.”
