Description

Teremana is the tequila brand Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson started with a family-run distillery in Mexico. This reposado tequila is made only from blue Weber agave. The plants grow slowly up in the Highlands of Jalisco. Once harvested, the agave hearts are slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens. The spirit then runs through copper pot stills in small batches.

After distilling, the tequila rests in barrels that once held whiskey. The rest is short, so the oak never takes over. VinePair's reviewer called it just a kiss of oak and gave it 92 points.

In your glass, cooked agave comes first with a light layer of wood. Soft vanilla and oak bring a little sweetness to the palate. The agave stays bright the whole way through. It finishes smooth and fresh, with vanilla and oak hanging on gently.

You can sip it neat or pour it over a single big cube. It also makes a rounder Margarita than a blanco would. Try it with grilled shrimp, fish tacos or anything with lime.
