Description

Penelope Architect starts with the brand’s straight bourbon and finishes it with French oak. The staves come from Tonnellerie Radoux in France. Radoux scans each one with its OakScan process to sort it by tannin. The bourbon is aged at least four years and bottled at 104 proof.

The nose is sweet and inviting, with candied cream, soft florals and a hint of crème brûlée. That creamy sweetness carries onto the palate, joined by herbal and floral touches. USA Spirits Ratings judges also noted honey and dried fruit. The finish brings rich vanilla, lasts a long time and carries a little heat.

Critics have noticed. Architect won Platinum at the 2023 Ascot Awards and 92 points from the 2023 USA Spirits Ratings. Whiskey Advocate gave it 90 points.
