Description

Maestro Dobel Reposado is a smooth, gently aged tequila from Jalisco, Mexico. It is made from 100% blue agave grown on a single family-owned estate. The fields sit in the volcanic lowlands around the town of Tequila.

The agave ferments naturally and is distilled twice. Only the heart of the run makes it into the bottle. The tequila then rests for six months in roasted new American white oak barrels. Tequilas from different vintages and aging stages are blended for a steady house style.

The name honors Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, known as Juan Dobel. He is the 11th generation of the family behind Jose Cuervo. His idea was to mix old methods with new thinking, and the brand later created the first cristalino, Dobel Diamante.

Pour a glass and you will see a bright gold color. The nose offers buttery caramel, almond, cinnamon and toasted wood. On the palate it is sweet and nutty, with light fruit and hints of vanilla. The finish is long and easy. It is also Kosher certified.
