With a core philosophy of respecting Mexican tradition while going beyond boundaries, Komos Tequila strives to create premium high-end tequilas with a distinctive range of qualities. They also have a commitment to sustainability and with the help of the Orendain family, they pioneer ways to repurpose byproducts for the local community. Komos sources agave of only the highest quality from both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco to craft their premium tequila. They begin by roasting the agave in traditional stone ovens, combining it with fresh spring water, and double-distilling in copper pot stills. To craft their reposado, the resulting blanco is aged for two months in French oak red wine barrels. The outcome is a plush and juicy reposado with rich flavor and a creamy mouthfeel. The aromas offer notes of cinnamon, caramel, orchard fruits, and agave, leading into a combination of flavors including butterscotch, chocolate, strawberry, clay, white pepper and toasted oak.
