Heitz Cellar, a renowned Napa Valley winery founded in 1961 by Joe and Alice Heitz, crafts this wine with timeless expertise and passion. Sourced from vineyards spread across the Napa Valley AVA, it captures the true essence of the region in every sip. Made mostly, and sometimes entirely, from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, it represents the classic, elegant, and balanced style that defines Napa Cabernets—often described as a “modern classic.” The grapes come from Heitz’s estate vineyards in notable areas such as Oakville, Rutherford, Howell Mountain, St. Helena, Oak Knoll, and Calistoga.
Crafted in a traditional style, the wine highlights pure fruit character while offering remarkable aging potential. Each vineyard is Certified Organic and sustainably farmed, ensuring both quality and environmental care. The grapes are fermented separately and aged for extended periods in French oak barrels, which enhances the wine’s smooth texture and depth of flavor. On the nose, it reveals rich aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and dark cherry, with subtle notes of cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, and a hint of mint or herbs.
The palate is full and layered, with dark fruit, silky tannins, and balanced acidity that lead to a long, savory finish. Perfect with beef, lamb, or aged cheeses, this 750ml wine is a refined introduction to Heitz Cellar’s iconic Napa Valley Cabernet collection.
