This Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is proudly made in Ireland by Irish Distillers at the Midleton Distillery for Mitchell & Son, the Dublin wine merchants behind the famous Spot Whiskey brand. It’s the second release in the “Wine Geese” series, following the Château Léoville Barton edition. The whiskey is first matured in a mix of American Bourbon and Sherry barrels, then finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Château Montelena, a renowned winery in Napa Valley, California.

This special release belongs to the “Wine Geese” series, which links Irish whiskey with wine estates that have Irish roots — here the Barrett family of Château Montelena, who are of Irish descent. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it retains its full natural flavor and character. Although it has no age statement, it typically contains whiskey aged between seven and ten years.

The flavor is rich and layered, offering notes of oak, vanilla, white chocolate and ripe fruit. It starts sweet and smooth, then develops a dry, spicy character with touches of citrus and red berries. The finish is dry and gently spiced, with baking spice warmth that lingers from the pot still character. With a silky, mouth-coating texture, it comes in a standard 750ml bottle.
