Goldeneye Winery was founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn, the same visionary couple behind Duckhorn Vineyards. The winery sources its grapes exclusively from Anderson Valley in Mendocino County, California — a cool, foggy region famous for producing exceptional Pinot Noir. “Ten Degrees” is Goldeneye’s signature reserve wine and represents the finest expression of their winemaking craft. Made entirely from estate-grown Pinot Noir grapes, it reflects both the purity of the fruit and the character of the land.
This vintage is celebrated as one of Anderson Valley’s best, thanks to a long and gentle growing season that allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly. The wine is both powerful and elegant, offering bold fruit flavors with a refined balance. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red hue and releases complex aromas of plum, blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, earth, anise, spearmint, and leather. On the palate, it delivers layers of red and black fruits, smooth tannins, and bright acidity.
Aged for about 16 months in 70% new and 30% neutral French oak, it carries an alcohol content of 14.5%. The 2018 vintage earned 94 points from Wine Enthusiast and 95 points from James Suckling. Inspired by the graceful Goldeneye duck, this wine is crafted to age beautifully for years to come.
