Frank Family Vineyards is one of California’s most respected wineries, known for crafting premium wines with elegance and character. Their Chardonnay, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown mainly in the cool Carneros region between southern Napa and Sonoma counties, showcases the winery’s dedication to quality. Presented in a standard 750ml bottle, this wine offers a rich, full-bodied taste that captures the essence of California Chardonnay. Each sip reveals layers of baked apple, pear, white peach, brioche, citrus, nutmeg, vanilla, and hints of crème brûlée or butterscotch.
The wine’s fresh acidity perfectly balances its creamy richness, creating a smooth and lingering finish. It is fermented and aged in French oak barrels for about nine months, adding depth and subtle oak complexity. Partial malolactic fermentation softens the acidity and gives the wine its signature buttery texture, while gentle bâtonnage, or hand-stirring of the lees, enhances its smoothness and flavor. Sourced primarily from the renowned Lewis Vineyard and other top Carneros sites like Beckstoffer’s Carneros Lake and Sangiacomo Vineyards, this Chardonnay reflects true craftsmanship.
Best served slightly chilled, it pairs wonderfully with roast chicken, creamy seafood dishes, mushroom pasta, or lobster. With around 14.4% ABV and frequent 90+ point ratings from critics like James Suckling and Vinous, it’s a Chardonnay that never disappoints.
