This wine is crafted mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the famous Napa Valley, California, with most sourced from Faust’s own vineyards in Coombsville and Rutherford. Some grapes also come from mountain regions like Atlas Peak, Mount Veeder, and Howell Mountain, which add depth and complexity to the flavor. Known for its bold and full-bodied style, this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is smooth, elegant, and beautifully balanced.
In every sip, you’ll taste rich notes of black cherry, black currant, and plum along with hints of dark chocolate, cedar, and warm spices. The wine also shows layers of blackberry, cassis, dried herbs, and a touch of minerality that give it a refined edge. Aged for about 19 months in French oak barrels with around 30% new oak, it develops a silky texture and smooth tannins that make it suitable for aging.
Made by Faust Winery, part of the respected Huneeus family and Quintessa estate, this wine sometimes includes small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot for added harmony. It pairs wonderfully with steak, roasted meats, lamb chops, stews, and aged cheeses. Regularly earning 90+ points from critics like James Suckling and Wine Advocate, it’s praised for its quality and excellent value.
