Description

This Reposado Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave sourced from the mineral-rich Jalisco Highlands, ensuring a rich and authentic flavor. It is aged longer than the legal minimum, usually 9–11 months, and matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, which adds subtle notes of vanilla and oak. The cooked agave is carefully crushed using a traditional two-ton Tahona stone wheel, a method that preserves the natural character of the agave. It is then double distilled in copper pot stills and bottled at 40% alcohol (80 proof) in a standard 750 mL bottle with no additives, keeping the taste pure and natural.

This tequila has a light straw to golden color and delights the senses with flavors of smoky oak, cooked agave, vanilla, and hints of fruit, citrus, or dill. The palate enjoys a smooth blend of agave and oak, balanced with notes of caramel, smoke, and pepper. The finish is warming and smooth, leaving lingering hints of oak and spice. Produced at La Alteña Distillery (NOM 1139) in Arandas, Jalisco, it is crafted by the Camarena family, led by Master Distiller Carlos C. Camarena. This tequila is perfect for sipping neat, enjoying on the rocks, or mixing into premium cocktails like a Tequila Old Fashioned.
