Description

This Reposado Mezcal is a limited edition with only 5,000 hand-numbered bottles, making it a truly special collectible. The “5KO” edition celebrates the fastest knockout in UFC history, achieved in just five seconds by Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal, who is also a shareholder in the Mezcal. Each bottle contains 750ml of carefully crafted spirit, usually at 40% ABV (80 proof), though some sources note 45% (90 proof).

It is made from selected Espadín agave and produced in Oaxaca, Mexico, the heartland of Mezcal. The agave is slow-cooked over river rocks using sustainably sourced pine and oak wood, giving the Mezcal a distinctive smoky flavor, and then aged for five months in new American oak barrels. Uniquely, each bottle contains five agave worms, which are believed to add smoothness to the taste.

The spirit has a bright straw yellow color with golden sparkles, and its flavors combine cooked agave, herbs, citrus, vanilla, chocolate, wood, and the unique aroma of the maguey worm. On the palate, it offers bittersweet notes, mild acidity, a touch of saltiness, and subtle smokiness. The finish is crisp, spicy, and slightly astringent. This Mezcal is best enjoyed neat, sip by sip, with a pinch of agave worm salt and a wedge of orange to enhance the experience.
