Description

This artisanal mezcal brand was created by actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, best known for their roles in Breaking Bad. It is a traditional Mexican spirit made by cooking and fermenting the heart of the agave plant, known as the piña. This particular bottle is a Joven mezcal, meaning it is unaged and bottled straight after distillation to preserve its natural and pure flavors. Made from 100% Espadín agave—the most common variety used in mezcal—the plants are carefully grown for at least six years before being harvested.

Produced in San Luis del Río, Oaxaca—a region celebrated for its mezcal-making heritage—this spirit is crafted using time-honored methods. The agave is roasted in underground ovens lined with volcanic stones and wood, giving it a unique smoky character. Under the guidance of master distiller Gregorio Velasco Luis, whose family has been making mezcal for three generations, each batch is distilled in copper stills heated by wood fires.

The result is a smooth and balanced mezcal with notes of apple, mango, citrus, and sweet cooked agave, finished with gentle smoke and a hint of sweetness. With 42% ABV, it’s pure, additive-free, and best enjoyed neat or in a crafted cocktail.
