Diplomatico Mantuano Rum was dedicated in memory of Don Juancho. He was an explorer and an important figure. He had a passion for traveling and discovering new spirits and liqueurs. His favorite was finding new rums. Diplomatico Mantuano Rum was aged up to 8 years. Diplomatico Mantuano Rum batches are made with a kettle and a pot still. Diplomatico Mantuano Rum is made from molasses and sugar cane honey. It is mixed in a manner of cocktails and enjoyed neat or on the rocks. The aromas and their scents are thick, heavy, and sweet. Over time there are scents of black treacle, cherries, milk chocolate, and sweet licorice. The palate has a spicier taste, they are rich and oily in texture. There are flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and lead into a sharper polished oak flavor. There are caramel flavors, soft toffee, and hints of balanced bitter barrel char. The finish is soft and sweet, there are herbal hints which fade.
