Código Mezcal Artesanal showcases centuries-old Oaxacan traditions. Made from Espadín and Tobalá agave in San Juan del Rio, the agave is slow-cooked in earthen ovens, crushed with donkey-pulled tahonas, and distilled in copper alembic stills. It’s then rested in Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc barrels, producing a mezcal with floral aromas, bright citrus notes, and a touch of dark cherry and earthy clay salinity. The gentle smoky finish adds depth, making it perfect neat or in cocktails like a Paloma Negra or Mezcal Manhattan.
