Born from a private recipe known for generations by only a select group of Mexico's most respected families and finest jimadors, Código 1530 is a premium spirits brand available worldwide. With perfected recipes from these time-honored customs and historic traditions, they produce their codigo tequilas at their distillery in Amatitán. Each of their rested tequilas are aged in the world's finest French Oak Cabernet wine barrels procured from the Napa Valley region. With no added chemicals, flavorings, or sweeteners, the meticulously aged tequilas produce incredible flavor.
Código Mezcal Artesanal is a pure expression of their centuries-old traditions. Sourced from the San Juan del Rio region of Oaxaca, Mexico, the Espadin and Tobala are cooked in earthen ovens, crushed with donkey-pulled tahonas, distilled in Copper Alembic stills, and rested in Sauvignon Blanc wine barrels from Napa Valley. The nose is floral with a light, woody vanilla with flavors of mandarin orange citrus, and dark cherry with a hint of earthy, clay salinity. The finish has a slight kick with a touch of gentle smoke. Try it in cocktails such as a Paloma Negra or a Mezcal Manhattan!
