Description
Chambord French Black Raspberry Liqueur Royale de France. Though Chambord was officially launched in 1982, the recipe and methods themselves date back to the time of Louis IX, who may have sipped on a similar liqueur himself during visits to the castles of Loire. Produced in the Loire Valley of France, Chambord is crafted with the tradition of macerating fresh berries in brandy. The infusion of raspberries, blackberries and the exotic flavors of black raspberries, black currant, Madagascar vanilla and XO cognac results in a beautifully saturated deep ruby violet color. The nose is of sweet blackberry, black currant, vanilla, and caramel. With a soft and juicy texture and body on the palate, the flavors are concentrated with sweet berry flavor lingering with rich vanilla notes upon finishing. This
versatile liqueur adds a beautiful punch of color and flavor to a range of cocktails. Try it with a simple
champagne, or even use it to cook and bake a chambord-spiked chocolate torte!
