Basil Hayden's 10 Year Bourbon gives you the brand's easy style with a full decade of age. It is distilled at the Jim Beam distillery in Kentucky. The mash is high in rye: 63% corn, 27% rye and 10% malted barley. The spirit then rests for ten years in newly charred American oak.

This bottle first appeared as a limited release in December 2018. After a few annual returns, it joined the lineup for good in 2024. Like the rest of the family, it is bottled at a gentle 80 proof. That keeps the heat low and lets the older oak do the talking.

Lift the glass and you'll find aged oak first, with honey, vanilla and a soft wisp of smoke. On the palate, caramel and butterscotch sweetness balance the oak. Rye spice and a pinch of black pepper keep things lively. The finish is light and fairly short, with rye spice, caramel and a gentle smoky oak note.
