Amador Whiskey Company is passionate about crafting luxury, limited-production bourbon whiskey. They strive to blend the best of Kentucky bourbon with Napa valley wine production. Their Double Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon Cask was their first creation. With only 10 new, charred American oak barrels, they crafted this bourbon with hop-flavored whiskey and Charbay Distillers. Following, it was transported along the 38th parallel, all the Way to California, where it was then finished in their family Napa Cellars for 6 months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. The influence from the two barrels is reflected in this exceptional bourbon. With a deep copper brown color from the Cabernet casks, this bourbon starts with notes of vanilla and toasted walnuts. Following are intense flavors with caramel, brown sugar and spices. The finish is long and enduring with the spice lingering on the palate. This complex and layered whiskey is wonderful neat or with a few drops of spring water.
