Emmolo Wines

Emmolo Wines is a winery started by famed Californian winemaker Jenny Wagner. She runs and operates some of our favorite West Coast wineries. These winemakers go back generations and are passing down traditions and knowledge that evolve with every family member. 

Emmolo Wines are known for their merlots and their sparkling wines. California is home to some of the richest, most delicious reds in the world. However, the merlot variety is often overlooked. The Emmolo merlot is superbly rich with a soft, delicious fruity profile that evokes moments of red berries, cherries, and oaky spice. This Merlot has a lovely tannin profile that is soft but leaves a fantastic texture in your mouth.

The Emmolo Merlots are all fantastic, though we love the Emmolo Merlot 2020. The conditions were just fantastic for rich-tasting merlots that year, with a delightfully warm yet measured summer.

As previously mentioned, Emmolo Wines are known for their sparkles. The Emmolo Sparkling wine is heavily inspired by Champagne and aims to be dry, crisp, and deep in flavor. The oaky presence is something that isn’t often experienced in other Californian Sparkling wines, but we absolutely adore it. This sparkling wine is bright and bold, making it a wonderful sipper.
