KITCHEN OF COCKTAILS

When you’re in your kitchen deciding on what you’d like to drink, maybe go for a tasty cocktail that will suit your taste buds right up. A ‘Caramba’ is great for that; it’s made with 1.5 oz. tequila, 3 oz. grapefruit juice, and club soda. Mix all of the ingredients, except the soda, in a shaker with cracked ice, pour into a tall highball glass, and then top with club soda. A ‘Caramel Apple Pie de Tezon’ will liven up your sweet tooth on the spot; it’s made with 1 oz. tequila Tezon, ½ oz. Hiram Walker Butterscotch Schnapps, 1 oz. apple cider, and 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice. Shake all of the ingredients strongly with ice, strain into a martini glass, and then garnish with an apple slice. If you’d like something a bit sweeter, try a ‘C. C. Kazi Shooter.’ It’s made with 1 oz. tequila, 2 oz. cranberry juice, and 1 tsp. lime juice. Shake all of the ingredients well with ice and then strain into cocktail glass.

For a bit of a wild palate, a must have is the ‘Chapala.’ It’s made with 1.5 oz. tequila, 1 tsp. orange juice, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 1 dash Triple Sec, and 2 tbsp. Grenadine. Shake with ice and strain into an old fashioned glass over ice cubes, and then add a slice of orange for garnish. A refreshing and tasty drink that will excite your taste buds is the ‘Chapultepec Castle.’ It’s made with 1.5 oz. tequila, 1 oz. Grand Marnier, 4 oz. orange juice, and an orange slice. Mix all of the ingredients except the orange slice in a blender with cracked ice, pour into a double old fashioned glass, and then garnish with an orange slice. Tequila mixed with orange is great; a ‘Charley Goodleg’ is a delightful drink to have after a long day. It’s made with 1.5 oz. tequila, 1 oz. Galliano, and 3 oz. orange juice. Frost the rim of a glass with sugar, shake the tequila and Galliano with ice, top with orange juice, and stir. Have yourself a tasty drink to relax.
