Part of the Indiana rye spends its final years resting in Northern California, where the climate helps calm the spice and round out the edges. You notice it right away on the nose. Expect orange peel, caramel, cinnamon, baking spices, and a light hint of raspberry jam.
Take a sip and you get depth without harshness. Gingerbread, toasted nuts, tobacco, and buttery caramel come through in layers. The texture feels rich and slightly oily. The finish stays with you, ending on vanilla and a clean pop of rye spice.
