Wolves 5 Year American Single Malt brings a luxury streetwear mindset to whiskey. The California brand was founded by fashion veterans James Bond and Jon Buscemi. This is their first flagship bottle, poured all year rather than in a short run. It is made from 100% malted barley and aged at least five years.

The spirit rests in California wine barrels under the hot Arizona sun. The heat pushes the spirit deep into the wood, so flavor builds fast. Hand-selected barrels are blended and finished in aged Cognac casks.

Lift the glass and you’ll find honey, graham cracker, caramel, and red fruit. The palate moves into vanilla custard, nutmeg, and clove. Sweet oats and ripe fig round it out. The finish runs medium to long and stays sweet, with a touch of spiced oats.

Bottled at 48% ABV, or 96 proof, it has real presence without feeling hot. Pour it neat first so you can taste each cask at work. A large ice cube opens it up on a warm evening. It also makes a rich, fruity Old Fashioned.
