For over seven decades, this Kentucky bourbon has been crafted at the top of a hill in Lawrenceburg, using water from the Kentucky River naturally filtered through limestone. This process removes iron and other impurities, giving the whiskey a clean, smooth foundation. The original yeast strain has been perfected for more than 60 years, creating a distinctive flavor that sets it apart. Aging takes place in American White Oak barrels with a No. 4 char, letting the whiskey develop rich notes over at least five years—often six to eight.
The distillery’s roots go back to 1855, when spirits and wine were sold by a local grocer. Over generations, the craft passed through expert hands, each adding to the legacy of careful distillation. Today, barrel-proof rye varieties highlight the mastery of blending, using non-chilled rye to bring out robust flavors. Recognition at international competitions, including gold medals and high scores, confirms the quality and craftsmanship.
Whether you’re enjoying it neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails, this Kentucky bourbon delivers a bold yet smooth experience. The history, careful aging, and precise distillation make every sip a taste of tradition and craftsmanship.
