Widow Jane 10 Year is a small-batch straight bourbon blended by hand in Brooklyn, New York. The whiskey itself is sourced from Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana. Each batch comes from just five barrels, so bottles can vary a little. Today the brand is part of Heaven Hill.

Every barrel in the blend spends at least ten years in oak. The bourbon is non-chill filtered, which keeps its texture full. It's proofed with limestone mineral water from the Rosendale Mines in upstate New York. That water is the brand's calling card, and it brings the whiskey to 91 proof.

On the nose you'll find vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and a soft, creamy note. The palate brings orange, maple, cherry and almond, with a hint of dark chocolate. It feels rich and full-bodied. The finish is warm and spicy, with charred oak lingering at the end.

Judges have noticed it too. At the 2024 TAG Global Spirits Awards it won Double Gold with 91 points, plus a Best in Show title. VinePair rated it 93 points in 2026.

Sip it neat, add a splash of water, or pour it over one large cube. It pairs nicely with smoked brisket, aged cheddar, pecan pie or dark chocolate. Bread pudding and crème brûlée work well too.
