In 1805, his widow, Madame Clicquot, took over the business and became one of the first known modern business women. Later known for its distinctive yellow label, Veuve Clicquot has become one of the worlds most beloved champagne and vintage brands. In July of 2015, the World Heritage Committee announced its decision to list the Vineyards, Houses and Cellars of the Champagne region as UNESCO World Heritage sites. Their rich history is unmistakable and that heritage lives on in their champagne to this day, including their Veuve Clicquot Luminous.
With a predominant Pinot Noir, the blend also consists of Chardonnay and Meunier for elegance and roundness. After long aging in their Crayres for a minimum of 3 years, the result is a champagne with strength and silkiness. With notes of yellow and white fruits, vanilla, and toasty brioche, luminous has a perfect balance or aromatic intensity and freshness.
