A blending of grapes from 50 to 60 different crus with a composition of up to 45% reserve wines, Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne is indeed bold in its approach. The backbone of this Pinot Noir, with a helping of Chardonnay and Meunier to give it color, body, and a fruity profile.
Veuve Clicquot has four key notes for this bottle: freshness, roundness, strength, and depth. red and black fruits are most prominent. Think cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry. You get a hint of spice with notes of buttery pastries as well, all enhanced by accents of toast, orange peel, and gingerbread.
Bettane + Desseauve, globally recognized French wine critics, gave it a high score of 92/100. Wine Spectator gave it equal high praise with a score of 91/100.
Good champagne needn’t be overwhelmingly expensive. This is affordable luxury! If you love red wines and are in the lookout for a champagne, then this is absolutely a bottle you have to try.
