Description

Tuyo No.2 Reposado Cristalino is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco. It is made under NOM 1438. The agave is cooked in brick ovens and an autoclave, then crushed with a roller mill. The juice is distilled twice in a pot still.

Next, the tequila rests in former bourbon barrels. After that it is filtered to take out the color. So it pours clear like a blanco, but it keeps some of the softness the barrel gave it.

On the nose you will notice sweet melon, a little pepper and a touch of liquorice. Many tasters also pick up floral notes and a hint of vanilla. The sip follows the same path. Melon comes first, then a light peppery kick and gentle anise. The finish stays fruity and smooth, and it never feels heavy.

Sip it neat, or pour it over a single ice cube and let it open up. It goes nicely with seafood, fresh salads and citrus dishes. A light dinner or a quiet evening drink both suit it. The 375ml bottle is a handy size for trying something new.
