The Yamazaki 18 Year Single Malt Japanese Whisky (750Ml)

Description

The Yamazaki 18 Year is one of the most wanted bottles from Suntory's first malt distillery. It is a Japanese single malt whisky aged for at least 18 years. The whisky rests in American oak, Spanish oak and rare Japanese Mizunara oak.

Pour a glass and you get raisin and apricot first. Café au lait and the spicy note of Mizunara oak follow. On the palate, you find blackberry, strawberry jam and dark chocolate. The finish is long, smooth and gently spicy.

Judges love it too. It was named Supreme Champion Spirit at the International Spirits Challenge 2025. It also won Best Japanese Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2026.

Sip it neat, slowly, to enjoy the deep amber color and rich layers. A few drops of water help the aroma open. It is a fine way to explore top-tier Japanese whisky, and a lovely gift for a collector.
