The Senator Straight Rye (2023, 6‑year barrel proof) is a bold, Indiana‑distilled rye from the 95% rye/5% malted barley mash bill, aged six years and bottled at cask strength (approximately 116‑120 proof). Aromas offer lemon pudding, cola, nutmeg, and dried apricot. On the palate: rich baking spices, honeyed pears, dill, toasted pecan, cranberry, and dark chocolate. The finish is long, warming, and complex with blackberry and toasted almond. A memorable, powerful rye for serious rye drinkers.
