Description

The Balvenie 15 Year Madeira Cask is a Speyside single malt from Dufftown. It spends fifteen years in American oak. Then it moves into casks that once held sweet Madeira wine. Malt Master David C. Stewart chose this finish.

On the nose you'll find honey and vanilla, with dried fruit, dark berries and a little spice.

The palate feels creamy. Ripe peach and orange zest lead, and toasted hazelnut and caramel follow. The finish is long and warm, with lingering fruity sweetness and a hint of oak.

Pour it neat, or add a few drops of water to open up the fruit. It makes a lovely after-dinner dram with dark chocolate or roasted nuts.
