Teeling Wonders of Wood is the first bottling in Teeling's Wonders of Wood series. It is a single pot still Irish whiskey, made from equal parts malted and unmalted barley. Teeling triple distills it in Dublin. It then matures in virgin Chinkapin oak, a rare type of American white oak.

Teeling bottles it at 50% ABV, or 100 proof. There is no chill filtration, so the natural oils and texture stay in your glass. The fresh wood gives the spirit plenty of bold, spicy character.

Teeling's own notes point to gingerbread spice and banana cake sweetness. Salted caramel and mild oak shavings join in. On the nose, banana and ginger come through first. The palate is rich and warm, with caramel and soft spice. The finish lingers, with gentle oak and spice to the last drop.
