This selection is a barrel strength (120-proof), high rye bourbon with 13% barley that has been cold smoked with cherrywood. The cherrywood adds a subtle flavor of cherry and BBQ, with undertones of vanilla, allspice, and sarsaparilla. This bourbon is truly unique and very limited! This bright copper colored bourbon has a rich aroma of caramel, Maraschino cherry, and a hint of earthy leather. The palate is smooth and coats the mouth well, and holds flavors of vanilla, brown sugar, and charred oak, with a touch of smoke. The flavors are best contemplated served straight up but can be mixed into an intriguing cocktail.
