The whisky honors Beyoncé’s paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a Prohibition-era moonshiner. Its unique mash bill blends 51% rye and 49% malted barley, giving you the spice of American rye and the smoothness of malt whisky. Secondary maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks adds layers of dark fruit, sweetness, and richness. Bottled at 44% ABV and non-chill filtered, it delivers a textured, sip-worthy experience.
On the nose, you’ll find tangy Seville oranges, ginger, raisins, and Demerara sugar. The palate reveals toffee, cinnamon, clove, soft malty notes, and a touch of vibrant citrus.
