Rey Del Mundo Reposado (750Ml)

Description

Rey Del Mundo Reposado comes from the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. This tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave at the distillery registered as NOM 1590.

The agave is cooked in both brick ovens and low-pressure autoclaves. It is crushed with a roller mill and double distilled in pot stills. Then it rests for six months. Some lots age in American oak and others in French oak, and the two are blended half and half.

The aroma brings sweet cooked agave first, with caramel, vanilla and a little barrel spice. Sip it and the agave sweetness stays front and centre. Dark caramel and a touch of chocolate join in, and peppery spice builds as you go. The finish has moderate length, ending clean with lingering pepper.

It picked up a Silver Medal and 87 points at the 2024 USA Spirits Ratings.

Pour it neat or on ice when you want a calm, easy sip. It also lifts a Paloma or other classic cocktails without getting lost. Serve it with grilled meats, tacos or roasted peppers. You will enjoy it if you like your tequila lightly aged, with the agave still clear.
