Conor McGregor founded Proper No. Twelve with Audie Attar and Ken Austin. It is a young brand with a modern take on an old craft. The apple version reached shelves across the US in early 2023.

The color is golden amber. On the nose you get sweet cider, light caramel, oak and browned butter. The palate brings cooked apples and honey, balanced by oak and crisp green apple peel. The finish starts bright with tart Granny Smith apple. It then softens into cider, brown sugar and a smooth whiskey close.

At 70 proof, this is a gentle pour. Try it neat or on the rocks first. It also makes an easy highball with ginger ale. On a cold night, stir it into hot apple cider.
