Pine Ridge Vineyards, founded in 1978 by Gary Andrus, is one of Napa Valley’s most respected wineries. Located in Napa Valley, California—renowned worldwide for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon—this winery crafts bold and structured red wines that capture the essence of the region. Each vintage is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, often blended with Bordeaux varieties like Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc for added depth and complexity.
The wine offers inviting aromas of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, and cherry, layered with hints of cinnamon, vanilla, cedar, and touches of espresso or dark chocolate. On the palate, it delivers rich, layered flavors of dark fruit, plum, and cassis balanced by bright acidity and a juicy, round mid-palate. Smooth, velvety tannins lead to an elegant, lingering finish.
Typically aged for about 18 months in a mix of French and American oak, the wine showcases finesse and structure. With an alcohol range of around 14–15.5%, it pairs beautifully with grilled meats, braised short ribs, hearty stews, or mature cheeses. Pine Ridge’s wines consistently earn high ratings from top critics like James Suckling and Robert Parker, and the winery proudly maintains Napa Green Certification, underscoring its commitment to sustainable winemaking.
