Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye 13 Year Old is one of the oldest rye whiskeys available today and is a uniquely rewarding experience on the first sip. Once you try this mature rye you'll never look back. The nose is full of soft chestnuts and spices mingling together with vanilla and fruit. Caramel, spices, and dry oak come through with a smooth and broad entry that leads into a palate of sweet tofee, roasted nuts, white peppery spice and cocoa. The finish is long, warm, and complex with a spiced flavor that lingers long on the tongue, slowly revealing dried fruit flavors towards the end.
