Old Grand Dad 114 Proof Bourbon is a bold bourbon from the Jim Beam distillery with an intense, full-bodied flavor that comes from a high-rye mashbill. The Old Grand Dad brand was created in tribute to Basil Hayden, an esteemed distiller whose name is used on another high-rye bourbon in the Jim Beam family. The aroma is dominated by rye but as it sits in the glass, you'll detect baking spice, caramel, and baked apples. The palate has a bite of spicy rye, with a rich texture and notes of sweet hay, minty herbs, and cinnamon as the heat subsides.
