Description

Nikka Coffey Vodka is a smooth, refined spirit from one of Japan's great whisky houses. Nikka makes it in the same Coffey stills it uses for its grain whiskies. These old continuous stills keep more of the grain's natural flavor than modern columns do.

The recipe is simple but careful. Nikka distills corn and barley spirits separately. The team then blends them and filters the spirit lightly through white birch charcoal. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

Raise the glass and you will notice soft citrus with a gentle hint of vanilla. The first sip feels rich and velvety, not thin or harsh. A light sweetness carries a faint touch of spice. The finish stays sweet for a while and ends with a twist of lemon.

This quiet quality has won big honors. It earned a Trophy at the 2018 International Spirits Challenge. In 2020, the World Vodka Awards named it Best Japanese Varietal.
