Mr Black is a cold brew coffee liqueur for people who love real coffee. It first launched in Sydney in 2013. It blends 100% specialty-grade arabica coffee with Australian wheat vodka. The beans come from Popayán in Colombia and the Guji region of Ethiopia. A mix of medium and dark roasts gives it depth. In the US it is bottled at 25% ABV.

Cold brewing is the secret. The coffee steeps slowly in cold water instead of hot. That keeps the flavor round and less acidic. You get honest coffee taste, without the syrupy, fake edge of many sweet liqueurs.
