This premium Barbados rum comes from the world’s oldest commercial rum distillery, with records dating back to 1703. It carries a bold, robust style that reflects the classic character of Bajan rum, which is naturally drier and less sweet than many other Caribbean varieties. Bottled in the standard 750ml size at 43% ABV, it offers a slightly higher proof that enhances its depth and flavor.
The rum is crafted in small batches using both traditional copper pot stills for rich aroma and column stills for a smooth, balanced texture. It is first aged in ex-American whiskey casks and then finished for about six months in deeply toasted and charred ex-bourbon barrels, which gives it its signature character and intense complexity. You’ll notice layers of toasted oak, buttered toffee, vanilla, orange zest, and hints of black pepper, all naturally developed without added sugar or coloring.
Guided by the expertise of Master Blender Trudiann Branker and made with pure Barbadian spring water filtered through coral limestone, it achieves a deep copper-gold color and a clean, authentic profile. Its bold nature makes it ideal for spirit-forward cocktails, yet it is equally enjoyable neat, on the rocks, and widely celebrated with multiple awards, including a 2024 Gold Medal in San Francisco.
